Review summary

This was our first cruise, we had a great time at the ports but wish we were made to feel welcome on board which sometimes we were not. We felt overlooked by passengers who'd been on since Tokyo.

Embarkation

This was quick and really easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Chin Chin and O'Sheehans food was served cold more often than not. I understand they are busy but I feel our food was left out a lot so went cold before it came to the table. Also, we had to wait a long time to be offered anything or noticed. However, the Teppanyaki, Le Bistro, and Sushi were good. The bars, first night we went to the champagne bar and no one served us for around 20 minutes, and served (we think) familiar faces rather than the new arrivals to the ship. Considering this was our very first cruise, we weren't really made to feel welcome 100% of the time. Room service Pizza was one of the better meals we had though.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
They were ok, we didn't join in too much just due to things we were doing independently

Entertainment

Didn't really attend anything

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Martha in the tax free shop was lovely, the Teppanyaki chef was great fun and the Sushi chef (he's usually on the right), was a really friendly guy. Otherwise, other staff weren't so attentive, felt it difficult to get service. I did put in some laundry and it wasn't returned on the estimated day. I had to call down and they said they'd been waiting on some confirmation as I'd miscounted some items. That's fair, however, no one contacted me to ask me so I kind of think that would have helped if they'd called the room and left a message but I received nothing. The staff at the speciality restaurants and the tax free shop were brilliant. Unfortunate others brought the score down. The greeters in the restaurants were nice too

Ship Quality
