A: I could only say "most likely". With the water shortages, they've been sending almost 2.5x more ships through the older panamax locks and, of course, they need to reserve the new locks for the big boys.

A: The Gem does have a promenade deck that wraps all the way around the ship. It’s not as fancy as the Waterfront on the newer ship. A: I've always brought one along without issue. Don't be stupid though. power strip for phone chargers, camera chargers, laptops, no problem you plug in an iron or hair dryer (aka high amps) you're an idiot.
