If you are expecting to see tall walls of frozen glaciers calving off, you will not. The buffet is worse than you will expect due to food not hot or even warm. The excursions on shore are not worth it if you are already a country person who has seen snow covered mountains. Do not expect to see much wildlife. The best was an eagle which I have seen before. The staff is absolutely excellent and friendly. Watch as many videos as possible before your cruise. This will help you find the best of the cruise. Book directly through Norwegian or a trusted travel agent. Avoid all other companies that promise you savings. Review web sites for what you should bring on the cruise. You need less than you think. Be friendly with other guests and it will make your cruise much better. Do not be afraid to talk to the staff. They can make your experience much better.

Cruise to some islands in Alaska, and a brief trip to a glacier

This was the second time on the Bliss and 5th NCL cruise. I am already looking at a future cruise in the Haven on the Bliss. The way the staff treat you, you want to keep going back. This was also our second Alaskan cruise and we will continue to go back. The beauty is breathtaking and even if you don't get off the ship in port, the views are worth the trip.

When cruising check the ports you will be visiting. If you want a quick on and off at each port and don't want to do some exploring than this cruise is for you. If you want to spend more time at each port than consider another cruise or cruise line

Had a great time, enjoyed the unlimited bar but the shuttle and limited time in port was irritating.

Overall good cruise, but missing the glacier was a major disappointment.

Activities on the boat and at the ports were closed. The shuttles to all but one port were unexpected with long wait times due to mechanical issues. Some of the ports were dreary and run down (Sitka and Ketchikan). Our stateroom attendant was nice enough but never smiled, sort of creepy. NCL didn’t enforce the “no smoking” rules around the ship and it was suuuuper gross having to go through the smoke filled casino to get to the Manhattan Room. The casino smoking room does NOT keep the smoke contained. The lack of TVs in public areas with deck maps and navigation maps was a bummer. This was our 1st NCL (only ever RCCL for me previously so expectations were high). We liked our balcony room and appreciated a few huge standout workers (like Veronica at Sugarcane who remembered every customers name, everyday!). Unfortunately this was my husbands 1st cruise and he said his overall experience on the Bliss will be his last cruise experience. One shot for that 1st impression and I blew it with NCL.

It is just ok. Not enough variety on food selection.

Needed more time in Juneau, Sitka & Ketchikan. Need a designated handicap elevator!!!

Great ports, weather was perfect. Food was very good, staff excellent.

Pros: taken this cruise in the past, so we knew the ports and the ship. Great room steward. Food was good. Liked all of the omelet stations in the Garden Cafe. Had my morning meal prepared to my specifications. Cons: VERY disappointed that “Six” was not replaced with another show, especially since it is coming back. Felt I paid for something I didn’t get! Service in the restaurants was slow. Saving lounge chairs at the pool is an ongoing issue.

Went two time to get ground transportation from ship to airport. Tags were never sent to the room so we returned. Front desk gave us tags for bags and for us to wear. Could not understand the counter person nor hear her over the backround music and 200 people talking. Had no idea the bus's only went to LAX we went there and back to the terminal then to Longbeach airport. What a mess.

My personal preference is I would not choose to cruise NCL again. Had it been my first cruise I may have arrived at a different opinion but compared to other cruise lines this was a disappointment. Cancelled and changed itineraries, no port refund, room service fees, rules not enforced on observation lounge and very short times in port made this a personal disappointment.

We have sailed Norwegian one other time and feel that other cruise lines have much prettier ships and the food is better. However, for the price we paid, it was a nice getaway and the 3 ports and 3 sea days were an excellent mix.

Overall I would give the cruise an 8/10. The weather wasn't the best. But we still made the best of it minus a few hiccups.

we loved the cruise, the service was excellent , I wished all the bars carried Mezcal and Jalapeños but it was okay so I had a spicy jalapeño margarita

REALLY love NCL - 5 time cruiser. The race track and water slides were a blast!

Have been on 9 cruises, 3 of them NCl. The Bliss ship was by far No. 1. A lot of private space if desired. Great food in the dining rooms. Beautiful design and decor.

Overall great cruise. Went Jan/Feb so there were no kids on board (we were told 18 in total). Weather was perfect and I loved that the captain and pilot explained so much about the Panama Canal as we were preparing to go through and then during the transit.
