Husband and I are retired. We are Diamond members on Royal Caribbean and love to cruise! This will be our third NCL cruise.

Wonderful Halloween Cruise!

Nice cruise and would do it again. Just make it 2 days in Coco Cay and no Port Canaveral!

Cruise tips

Nassau, Bahamas

OK, but we had been here about 5 times before. Nothing changes there.

Port Canaveral, Florida

Port Canaveral is a waste! Many of the passengers didn't even get off the ship. First of all you are in an industrial area so there isn't much there to see. You can take a trip to NASA which is nice, but the Disney trips are ridiculous. They only take you there on the excursions, then when you get to Disney World you still have to pay the entrance fee. The kicker is that you are only there about 6 or 7 hours. It's an hour drive from the ship, and we had to be back on the ship by 5:30 pm. Unless you have unlimited money, this doesn't make sense.

Charleston, South Carolina

Charleston is a very nice city. We took a water taxi for $12 each that runs all day. We went on the aircraft carrier Yorktown, we were on a destroyer, and in a submarine. It was very interesting. We have been to Charleston twice before so we did not take any of the other excursions. It's a very nice quaint town.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

I can't say enough about Coco Cay! It was absolutely beautiful! They have done a wonderful job transforming the island. The fresh water pool is magnificent!! The lunches on the island were very nice, and they have trams to take you all over the island. VERY nice place!

Grandeur of the Seas

Grandeur of the Seas

If you're looking for a large ship, this is not the one. It is one of the smaller ships with only about 1900 passengers, but nice and easy to get all over. Still the same areas and amenities.
