Review summary

This is our first Holland American cruise. We loved our ship. It was smaller than most. We have to stop at a port of call almost every day and we loved how it broke up the trip. Everyone on board was helpful. We will do this cruise again. Maybe next time Montreal to Boston. We just loved it.

We left from Boston going on in England cruise. Running a little late. Parking was not easy to find but once we got to the terminal no problem.

We had a veranda room with a balcony. The balcony is the way to go I believe. It gives you a little extra space and some fresh air. We enjoyed the room very much.

Ship tip

Make sure you try the little Italian specialty restaurant on the ship. Reasonably priced outstanding food and service. Also bring an empty water So you can take it on excursions or fill it up with water on the lido deck.

We liked it so much we're going on another cruise this April from the Netherlands on their ship the Rotterdam. Looking forward to another excellent and relaxing cruise.

We are 5 star mariners on HAL. Very nice cruise line and they do Alaska very well.
