Review summary

This cruise would have been good for me if I had not gotten sick from the food and been treated like a red headed step child. If HAL does not want to serve gluten free, they should tell me before taking my money. The food on this cruise ruined my experience. I am still fighting the inflamation and I disembarked 2 weeks ago.

Food and Dining

While gluten eaters get luscious options in bread and pastries, GF eaters are left to beg for the very limited selection. GF dishes were regular offerings with the gluten left out (as unappetizing, tasteless, and nutrition lacking as it sounds). GF eaters could die of FOMO. Would it kill them to do macaroons, everyone likes macaroons.

GF options abound. But you must expect the choices will not be as many as mainstream meals. In future check your options before travel. Get smarter.

Did you inquire about gluten free before you gave them your money? I’m certain I’ve seen gluten free choices highlighted on the mdr menu. 🍸
