we did misty fiord but if you don't want to spend that much money can do something else. can get same views while on train at skagway

did bus up and train to come down was good

whale watching was excellent. did on our own on a small (6 people) boat. had chane to see whales within 30 ft. after whale watching did hiking mt.roberts trail was NOT SAFE. we ckecked with visitors center before starting were never told that trail was closed for hiking due to snow sill present on trail. got lost on trail few times. snow had covered up some pathways.
