Review summary

Overall a great experience with the family. Excursions need to be booked well in advance. We did not benefit so much from "The Key" as we would have liked.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Got on early, ship is very efficient in changing out passengers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining was good, never made use of the dining room as there were so many other options for eating.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Fitness center, thermal suite, pools, hot tubs, solarium

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Quite good, not Las Vegas style, but for a cruise ship was perfect.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Loved it. The two hour breaks (i.e. 12-2 and 5-7) are a little cumbersome to work around but understandable.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
No one issue

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
New ship - cleanliness was great.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cramped as to be expected on a cruise ship, but quite functional with 3 people. Best water pressure and shower ever experienced.

Ship tip

Utilize alternative options for dining. I.e. specialty restaurants. The one time we ate in the dining hall (on disembarkation day) it was not good.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
For a departure port its ok but quite a distance from major hubs like Ft. Lauderdale or Miami.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
Nice island, friendly people. Our excursion booked through cruisesonly.com was cancelled the night prior so this was a terrible experience for us. We ended up having to do our own thing.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
We did Magens Bay Beach - nice beach but way too overcrowded with cruise passengers. Crown Bay is ok but away from action - Havensight would have been better. Island a little run down. Tours to St. John (better option) were sold out well in advance. Ship departure time was early limiting time on island.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This place is fantastic. Royal has done a great job on improvements here.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Getting off was seamless

Curious if you ate Poke Nachos at Playmaker, if the were on Wontons? I know funny question but love those Wonton for chips and Oasis Playmaker had Tortilla chips… NOT THE SAME!!! Lol.
