Review summary

We loved the whole cruise from start to finish. I would say only negative is that if something is going on in the Effy store, they blast the music, or I will be honest noise so loud you can get a headache, and it’s in the forward center of the ship and if you to get from forward to aft you most go through that way.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy got into cruise terminal, say about a 1/2 hour on the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food, my husband loves the ham and cheese skillet, I know it’s good, but I love the Belgian waffles, the lunch is wonderful on sea days in the dining room, and the dinners we can always find something we like, pinnacle one night, love the steak. We only went to the buffet when left the ship, it was good, other then that the dive in is good.with hot dogs and burgers.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I can’t give a negative, but we didn’t do anything, we don’t swim, or fitness center

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great wait staff, and wonderful room stewards, the wai staff in the bars our good as well.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love the Westerdam, this was our 3rd time on her, she is very comfortable.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Love this cabin, at the front of the ship, we could look out our window and see the Dawes glacier, great size, and while onboard tired to book for 2026, but didn’t go out that far yet. The stateroom was clean with 2 great attendants.

Ship tip

The only think about this room is if your a first time cruiser, this is at the bow of the ship so when coming into port and leaving you will experience some vibration, it didn’t bother use, this was our 55th cruise so we’ve been all over the ships.

Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
We’ve done this before hatchery, mendenhall glacier, and salmon bake, I would say this is good for first timers

Victoria, British Columbia

1 out of 5
This is the only stop that’s not very useful, we get in at night, most of the stuff we do in Victoria is closed, and it’s a very shot stop, to met the Jones, that requires foreign registered ships to stop outside US, before returning to US.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
View out our window, great.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We got off before 7:00am, and able to catch the early ferry to head home.

Sounds like a nice, relaxing cruise. I have to admit that your ferry comment caught my eye. Hope your run is on a better schedule than ours!
