Review summary

Had the cruise followed the original scheduling, I would have rated this cruise excellent. Last minute changes after you have my money is disappointing. Staff and service same across the Royal ships. Internet sucks.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was chaos with 17 people traveling together. Slight confusion where to take bags. Overall, smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food consistent with other ships I've been on. There were no vegan options, so the chef every night made a special dish for the 2 vegans in our group. Now those dishes he made were excellent.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Gym was lacking in space and equipment No space at the pool to sit. All chairs taken all the time.

Entertainment

Didn't go to any

Ship Quality

small but clean ship

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
overall comfortable. Very old and outdated. No lounge chairs on the balcony. Would have loved to put my feet up. Not enough plugs by the bed.

Ship tip

Depending on where your room is on the ship, you might receive good internet. Several in my party paid and never could get on the wifi. Was told to either leave bedroom door open or sit in the hallways. Unacceptable !!! False advertising about fast internet.

Ports of call

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

Kavala, Greece

Was not original stop. Nothing to see

Istanbul, Turkey

5 out of 5
Was the best stop. But was cut short from original times due to "too many ships" in port. This is the main reason we booked this cruise to spend 2 nights in Istanbul. Disappointed in the changes after we paid...

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
Loved it here. did a private excursion

Santorini, Greece

5 out of 5
crowded but beautiful

Mykonos, Greece Did not visit port

Captain cancelled this port. Very disappointed. Wanted to do the beaches. This was a sea day. Only given 10% off for next cruise.

Disembarkation

Did they share with you why Mykonos port was canceled?

And itineraries can change without notice as well. Have missed several ports for multiple reasons, for example too windy, a hurricane, etc.
