Review summary

A terrific transatlantic crossing. Weather and seas were pleasant. Voyager did a great job. Always hard to get off...even after 15 days.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Royal's new terminal in Galveston makes embarkation a breeze. Was on ship within 5 minutes after terminal arrival.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Ate mostly in the Windjammer and found the food very well prepared and tasty. I have never been a big fan of Royal's buffet but Voyager did a good job. Still wish they would improve their salad dressing. You can't beat NCL's. Lunch in the MDR was well done also..newer menus.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
With all the sea days cruise staff did lots of things to keep us busy and entertained

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Same shows on stage and on ice. Nothing great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Aside from the Schooner bar, the bar staff on board were outstanding. Solarium bar was wonderful. Room steward, Prince was the best I've ever had on any ship.Good job Voyager!!!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Older ship but in good shape. No issues.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Oceanview on deck 3 near front elevators. A perfect combination.

Ship tip

Voyager ...once the largest cruise ship in the world...seems so small. She offers lots of fun venues and feels comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone.

Lovely town to visit. Lots of things to do

Galveston, Texas

Galveston is not as convenient to airports like MIA and FLL, but interesting town.

Nassau, Bahamas

Barcelona, Spain

Valencia, Spain

Industrial port is not fun but city is interesting.

Disembarkation

Got off early carrying my luggage. No problem. Those that had 2 big pieces ran into problems since elevator in terminal was broken. They had to use escalator or stairs.
