Review summary

Was a great girls get away. We all had a really good time being together. Would do this again, but select a different cabin.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We bought The Key and embarkation was a breeze. Walked in the terminal and was on the ship within 10 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We only went to the Windjammer 1 time for lunch. Was good and lots of selections. We mostly went to the main dining room for breakfast and dinner was good, not great as it was in previous years.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Did not use these activities. We watched, but did not participate.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were good. The ice show was really good. We also participated in trivia.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiter, Zaenal, and the assistant waiter, Daniela, were awesome. They were knowledgeable about the menu and personable. We enjoyed our dinners very much.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was clean and well maintained. The ship was easy to learn and also easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had a junior suite on the 9th floor. I do have to say that I wish I had been told that the view was partially obstructed, I would have selected a different cabin. Was really disappointed about that. Otherwise, the cabin was a nice size. Loved the walk-in closet and the larger size of the bathroom with a bathtub.

Ship tip

The ship is an older ship but well maintained. No USB ports in the room. Plugs are limited to 2. It was hard to get everything charged. The Wi-Fi was not good at all. Only 1 of our devices would work in the cabin. My cell phone worked, but not my IPad. My friends phone nor IPad would not work in the cabin. In the common areas of the ship, we had no problem with Wi-Fi.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
We spent the night before the cruise in Galveston at The Tremont House. It is a small hotel close to the port. We had parking for our car during the cruise and transfers to and from the RCCL terminal. Was close to the Carnival terminal and we walked to the waters edge and ate dinner on the wharf.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
We had been to this port many times and did not get off the ship.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Also we had been to this port many times and did not get off the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
With The Key, we had a nice breakfast. Then we were escorted off the ship. Out luggage was in a special area. We were on our transfer bus within 15 minutes after finishing breakfast.
