Review summary

Never again. This trip has been so bad im debating getting off at the next port. The only good thing is the food..thats it. Nothong else. Theres no crowd my age jist about anywhere. The one crowd i did find were just as disappointed as me. If you like a floating nursing home with a bunch of elderly complaining about nonsense. Hop on board!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast to get in if you came early.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was ok. When you got to thr MDR most of the items are in the Windjammer. Nothing special here.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Heres where its the WORST. There is NOTHING to do. im not elderly. Im in my mid 30s. This is like being in a nursing home. With that being said. They shut down most of the things to do because its not busy enough, leaving all the younger crowd bored to DEATH. Not everyone wants to fold towels or make cupcakes...this is by far the worst vacation ive ever had. Theres nothing to do but eat and sleep. They keep playing the same movies over and over.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
What entertainment? They had one standup comedian. one Ice show that was short and not impressive and just a bunch of random musicians that werent any different than the ones you see on board. Felt like the cheaped out here badly.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff is doing the best they can for the circumstances given. You can tell most of them are agitated because nearly everyone is elderly and straight up rude to them. Its stressing them out.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ships clean and tidy. No complaints here.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cant complain. Not to shabby.

Ship tip

Dont sail if you plan on anything active to do. There isnt anything. Check the cruise compass before sailing. If youre the type to have fun sitting and being inactive. This would be perfect for you. If you like doing things and physical activity. This aint the one. You will be bored to death.

Ports of call

Sydney, Nova Scotia

1 out of 5
A joke. Dont even easte your time getting off the boat. Everything is extremely far away. Not worth it.

Portland, Maine

1 out of 5
Nothing to do but walk around. Nothing interesting.

Saint John, New Brunswick

1 out of 5
Again nothing to do. Its just tourist traps with even less to do.

Boston, Massachusetts

Bar Harbor, Maine

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Gonna be the best part.

So sorry that you had such a dismal time and could not find any enjoyment. Perhaps a few shots and a beer would have helped. Check out private yachting in the future.

Thank you for the review. I just got on the Voyager of the Seas for this week’s sailing. We will enjoy it. 😁

People. You dont need to suggest different cruise lines. Ive been on many that i havent listed here. What youre not understanding is we were in path to hurricane Fiona so they closed everything down. Yes ot was basically a nusing home on the oveqn but there was no way to escape it because all the activities were closed. Ill stick to NCL from here on. This is my third RC cruise thats been horrible.

Sounds like you should try Virgin Cruise line.

I betchya that ship was full of name-badge-wearing Pinnacle old timers. They flock to those little RC ships like it's buffet time on carnival.

Sounds like you have a grudge against older people maybe an exclusive land vacation all inclusive in a single's resort would be more your speed

I suggest Carnival for your next cruise. We have older kids now and we still loce going on Carnival. They hace something for everyone

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. Not all cruises are created equal.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like you did not do enough research prior to booking this cruise. A cruise to Canada and New England is primarily about the scenery and the average passenger tends to be older. If you’re looking for a party, book a cruise to the Caribbean.
