Review summary

Dated ship with a great crew with good food in main dining but poor food otherwise. Good choice for value and port convenience, but much better ships are available.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Parking took longest time, after that very speedy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Main dining was good, not great. Buffet was not good. Very limited, repetitive selections with temp of food normally too cool for me.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Hot tubs good and not crowded. Casino was good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent main stage shows. Super.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was great!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Overall, especially given the age of the ship, was nice and clean. The ship is obviously dated. Also, this web page has pictures not representative of the current ship's condition.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Smallish with deeply recessed window not cleaned (not usable except for light). Small safe. Very noisy (bow thrusters) when pulling in/out of port.

Ship tip

Take this ship if a good value. There are much better ships to sail on, but for port convenience and cost, might be a good choice. Crew was terrific!

Ports of call

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

3 out of 5
Still recovering from hurricane damage. Beach easy to walk to, so paying for a beach excursion my no be necessary.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
Shopping easy walk off ship. Beaches nice. Reco renting an ATV and driving around independently. We paid $120 plus gas for a two person ATC.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Beautiful island. Had great catamaran excursion. Viewing the Pitons is worth the trip.

Bridgetown, Barbados

1 out of 5
Close shopping OK. The town and beaches are a long walk from port

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
Very nice island. Recommend an island excursion that either includes Nevis or the garrison.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Left in last group. Very easy except for incredibly long gangway.

The ship may be dated, but it’s still very enjoyable.

Glad you mostly enjoyed your cruise. Food seems to be an issue on several cruise lines.

Appreciate your detailed review. Glad you enjoyed your cruise even with a dated environment. Hope your next one is on a more modern vessel.
