Overall we had a good time. We learned that Vision is just too small for us. I really didn't like the enclosed solarium. Park cafe was too basic. Windjammer too small and basic.
Loved that it had less kids probably because it was smaller and didn't offer enough entertainment.
Loved the itinerary and will continue to book for itinerary with the ship coming second.
Staff were great and really made our cruise good. They were short staffed and under pressure. Our room Stewart was great. Couldn't have asked for better
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was mostly smooth. Only hickup was one staff member looking to see our ESTAS which we had safely packed in the main suitcases. We had arrived in the US 4 days prior and had cleared immigration and customs. Why would we have this ready for getting on a ship at that stage. He claimed we needed it for the return. We didn't. He wasted our time and held things up unnecessary.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining room dinner - food was mediocre. Menu was too American, much preferred the menu on a European cruise.
Breakfast was great so much better than windjammer.
Lunch was good too.
Windjammer was disappointing. Breakfast was boring. Croissants were rubbish you can buy much nicer ones in the frozen isle of our supermarket. Lunch options were the same every day. Hotdogs, burgers, some chicken and the trimmings and sides to go with it. Roast beef sandwiches at the counter with always the same type breadrolls. No variety of breads available. Butter rationed/short.
Giovannis table - was okay. Expected better. A more basic menu with more pasta dishes and pizza. Garlic bread etc would have been better and what the ship is missing
Chops Grille was great. Loved the food. Starters could do with more options that are less fatty or seafood.
Bars - run out of strawberry mixers within days. Ran low on straws. Pool bar was very slow.
R-bar was very good.
Solarium bar was great too
Park Cafe

Loved the plain cheese pizza. Sandwiches were mostly prepackaged and not for me. Selection was very basic.
Main Dining Room
5 out of 5
Wasn't keen on the menus but staff were brilliant. We had first Alemeo and Parvis then later on Joseph and Parvis. Parvis new our drinks order and had them too us within minutes of being seated. Joseph noticed me struggling with the menu and started getting me dishes not on the menu. He had the chefs make me chicken curry dishes without vegetables which were amazing.
Windjammer Marketplace

Not happy with the choice and quality. Always the same.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were plenty to do. We didn't actually go to any.
Gift Shop
3 out of 5
Very basic. Can't even buy sweets or paracetamol.
Solarium
4 out of 5
Would have been much better if the glass roof had at least been open mor often open. Not a fan of an enclosed solarium
Guest Services and Explorations!

Were very helpful. Long queues
Entertainment

I liked most of the bands/singers. We preferred the R-bar to the other venues
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
With the exception of one bar man being slow and unhelpful we found staff brilliant.
Waiters and Barman in R-bar were great.
Solarium bar was great too. Waiters on the pool decks were good.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was very clean and I liked the layout and size. Wish they had more shops to buy basics like sweets, ant-acids headache tablets etc.
Missed a coffee and fruit juice bar in the windjammer. Didn't like that fresh juice was only available in the dining room for breakfast.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Size of room was fine. Balcony was great. Big enough for table with 2 chairs and 2 sun loungers. Bathroom as expected
Ship tip
Remember as an older ship it has 2 American style plugs and European style plugs. Plan for this if you need to charge items like phones, kindles, tablets etc
Picked the wrong tour. Best of Cartagena was boring. Not enough time to go up to the fort. But were dropped off at bottom to be mobbed by street vendors. Church and museum were fine. Inquisition museum was boring, waste of time. They had nothing on display. Time to look around on your own wasn't enough. Port might have been much better with a different excursion
We did the street train excursion. Most boring excursion ever. She went on and on about the houses. Who owned them. Only got animated at the end when she talked about the 1st female governor.
Wish we had just gone on our own.
