Review summary
This is a smaller older ship in royal fleet. We had a Jr suite Great views. Very quiet 8576. Tons of storage space. Staff exceptional and very attentive. Being a small ship entertainment is limited but the shows and especially the orchestra was excellent. Weather was very bad for a Carribean cruise in March very cloudy and rainy most days but the crew did their part making it enjoyable.
Restaurants. - main dining room - as many have posted the main dining room food has suffered. Very bland. Service however was very good. So we purchased a 4 specialty dining package and a chefs table. Chops. Excellent - get the filet much better than the NY strip. Izumi - wow. Very good. Giavonnis - also very good. Chefs Table - that is as much a show as the food and wine and was excellent. The chef was shy but the host/server was outstanding. Windjammer - breakfast good eggs to order. Lunch. - not so good. Steamed burger really? Glad they had a park cafe for roast beef - excellent as usual. Shore excursions - Roatan was a bust major rain and the excursion people, obviously not accustomed to rain -ship gave us a 25% credit. I felt that was appropriate Belize cave tubing. Stay with dark night was excellent The other stop I went independent Costa maya fun with a private resort. Cozumel been there so much just shopped. Overall a fun trip and a good smaller ship
