Review summary

This was a very nice cruise.  The ship is small enough to enjoy but not too small as to feel cramped.  The ship was spotlessly clean and the crew was efficient and friendly.  The food while not great was adequate and for the most part very good and there was a variety. The Chop House restaurant was exceptional.  The food and service were wonderful.  The ports of call were OK.  Nothing exceptional there.

The only "bad experience" was the boarding procedures.  The lines were extremely long.  There was little space to sit.  Guests with disabilities were uncomfortable.  The building itself was poorly air conditioned.  On the other hand the disembarkation procedures were efficient and quick.  The luggage with neatly organized and easy to find. And the customs/immigration procedures went quickly.  Too bad they can't do the same with the embarkation procedures.

Some of the security procedures were a little over the top especially with regard to searching for alcohol.  My traveling companion's suitcase was "confiscated" because they mistakenly identified a 3 oz. bottle of mouth wash as contraband alcohol.  The situation was quickly rectified after she was summoned down to open her suitcase and produce the offending "contraband". Embarrassing and unnecessary.  They were not concerned that the bottle contained an explosive but the it contained alcohol.  Would 3 ounces make a dent in on board alcohol sales.  Besides which my friend is the widow of  a Methodist Minister and a life long non drinker

All in all this was a very nice cruise.   I would recommend it as a relaxing and pleasant experience once you are on board. By the way, the Captain is a woman. That's a nice change.
