Review summary

This is our first river cruise and our last. We were bored! We thought the ship was going to be docked close to the cities and we were going to be able to go on our own in and out the ship to visit and that didn't happen. We had no freedom to go in an out. Everything is programmed. You eat breakfast at certain time, go on an excursion, come back to eat practically the same lunch every day, go out on another excursion (if you booked another one) and come back for dinner and most times to go back to bed. There is no place to go but the Lounge where the bar is. We were bored! No place to exercise either.

Very disappointed with the size of the veranda room. As small as an interior room in an ocean cruise. We didn't have much space to walk. We didn't even have a chair. The mirror behind the front door was never cleaned and the blue throw up pillows were dirty to the point that it was even disgusting. The bathroom was small. For the amount of money that we paid for this room, it was a shame.

We were not a big fan of river cruising. The itineraries tend to stop in smaller towns with less to do. We like being busy on vacation. I know river cruising works well for those who like a slower pace experience.
