I was initially concerned I would get bored on this cruise, but I was pleasantly surprised. Lots to do and see.
Very easy. Viking had representatives all around the port showing the way. Too bad we had to tender. The authorities should build a short bridge since ship was so close to shore
Food and Dining
Spa was good but gym equipment is limited. Lots of public space for viewing
In general very good. What one would expect on a medium sized ship.
Service and Staff
Very well laid out.
Cabin / Stateroom
Small cabin with minimal storage space, but adequate for us.
All the veranda cabins are essentially the same so try to get the chaepest available.
Ports Of Call
Greenwich (London), England
Somewhat long from airport, but right near DLR tube. London is a great place to visit
Rosyth (Edinburgh), Scotland
Moored at Newhaven, which is far from downtown, and needed very long tender. Included tour was not up to par. Edinburgh is a great place to visit.
Kirkwall, Orkney Islands, Scotland
Good included tour. Shuttle from port was easy.
Lerwick, Shetland Islands, Scotland
Did included tour and Ancient Civilizations of the Shetlands. Both good.
Not much to do in Leknes, but good walking. Included tour was good.
Lots to do in Tromso especially Botanical Garden and Planetarium. Included tour was good.
We took a public bus on the Atlantic Road. Much cheaper than the Viking tour.
Took public bus to Dalsnibba; much cheaper than Viking.
Lots to do in town. Included tour was interesting.
