Nice walking tour of Reggensburg. Optional excursion to Weltenburg Abbey was overpriced. The tour guide spoke on a microphone in the rotunda of the Abbey, but the poor acoustics and the echo make it all unintelligble to me. The Danube Gorge mini-cruise was very scenic, but much shorter than anticipated, thereby contributing to the feeling that this optional excursion was over-priced.

Nice walking tour. Organ concert good except first number was meant to show the power of the organ, and while it did that, it was more baroque boom box than pretty music. A number of us went with a crew member in the afternoon to a beer garden where the beer garden staff was rude and haughty - this beer garden should not be favored by Viking going forward,

On the Abbey tour the rooms we visited were small for the size of the group, and warm. It;s probably just me, but I was turned off by the excessive gilt.

Excellent walking tour with excellent local tour guide who pretty much stuck to the facts and thankfully did not over-do the political angle of Nuremberg.

Pros: the size of the ship - 188 passengers - was a definite plus. You get to meet a lot of people and get to know many people rather well. Going through the locks was really very interesting. Great program director. Onboard lectures and entertainment were quite good.
