Became fondly known as the cruise to nowhere. Staff were excellent. Viking refunded the cost of cruise in the form of a voucher for a future cruise.

Total lack of organization. We stood in line between the hotel to get on the bus and checking in at the terminal for well over 2 hours. No advance scheduling existed in Auckland. Half our bus was allowed to get off at the terminal while the other half were told to stay on the bus for no apparent reason.

Due to the last 4 of our 6 ports being dropped, the ship ran out of some premium alcohols. Food was okay, but not great. Lots of presentation, but quality was just okay. Specialty dining was not any better than main dining room.

Stage performers that were part of singers and dancers were excellent. The cruise director, Richard, liked to sing. He should stick to being the cruise director. His assistant, Gareth, was funny, a good dancer and an excellent singer.

Seemed very spacious. Balcony was normal.
Ship tip
Book specialty dining early. They seemed to always have empty tables, but were fully booked after the first couple of days. Specialty dining is included in cruise price so it is in demand.
We had to get off ship to go through customs. Very organized but disappointed we could not get out of cruise terminal. Our time to walk through was 10:45 PM.
