Review summary

I enjoyed the Jupiter, would have liked to have spent more time enjoying all the ship had to offer. Because all of our excursions were very long (due to where the destination was in relationship to the ship) we usually did not get back until 5:00. The post extension was very disappointing in the accommodations.

We were met at the airport promptly. For the long bus ride to the trip, the Viking rep spent the entire time chatting with the bus driver.

Getting into the specialty restaurants is difficult and time consuming. Yet for our group table, 2 were no shows and many empty tables. Second restaurant we were given a table for 2 and again many empty tables.

Ship tip

Don’t book a post extension, although our tour leader was excellent. The hotel was not. Outdated, homeless people sleeping out the entrance. Also significantly less expensive than the hotel that they were supposed to use.
