Review summary
It was an adventure. Not our best trip, but it was still very nice. Lots of nice places to relax on the ship. The ship itself does NOT handle waves well. I guess that is a risk of going on a smaller ship that can get into these smaller ports..... at least three nights I had to sleep with a pillow over our head because our room creaked by the moving of our boat.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
World Cafe
Our favorite place to eat!
The Restaurant
We only dined there a few times, but we had great service. My favorite was the lemon ravioli
Pool Grill
Appreciated a burger towards the end of the trip
Mamsen's
The waffles and fruit were great.I didn't particularly care for the bread selection or the 'snacks' the rest of the day. A quiet venue
Aquavit Terrace
My favorite place to eat when the weather was nice.
Onboard Activities
Spa Pool
It was closed on 2 of the 3 occasions that I tried to use it. I don't know why.....they just said maintenance.
Main Pool
This was a very comfortable area with a nice retracting roof that worked very well. What a beautiful TV screen!!!!!! The ship showed the NFL playoff games there and it was great fun. I wish they would have viewed the College Championship Football game as well.
Infinity Pool
Only used it once as it is right THERE by the diners....The water level was lowered when sailing.
Fitness Center
This was adequate for the size of the ship. My husband complained that there was nothing for upper body
Entertainment
The Theater
Could have been just a tad larger.I think the pillows are a waste of time. Do they clean them????Having a few blankets there for folks was nice. I liked the variety of revolving chairs and couches
Service and Staff
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Ship tip
This is a relaxing ship. Very mature crowd. Actually, we found many of the travelers to be cruise 'snobs'....will 'only' cruise Viking even though they have never been on any other cruise line. We met several in that category. It was by far the most expensive of any cruise we have done.
