Viking Ingvar Cruise Reviews - Reviews

Viking delivers a good cruising experience.  They live up to their advertisements.  I like that they offer a free tour at every port, with optional tours for a reasonable price.  I especially like that they use those listening devices so that even if I am at the back of the crowd, I can clearly hear what the tour guide is telling us.  The guides counted us often so that no one was inadvertently left behind.  This gave me, traveling alone, a good sense of security - even in the Moscow Metro.

My favorite parts of the cruise were the home visit in one of the small towns, a school visit, and just experiencing the culture of another country.  I highly recommend this cruise.  We definitely will do another with Viking in a couple of years.  

The ship was a disaster for a mobility impaired traveler. I could not climb to my deluxe stateroom, two decks up from entry. All entertainment and lectures were held three decks up from entry. The Pakhomov was in no way comparable to the Kirov, which has an elevator. I complained in detail five days ago, to customer service, and have still not received a response.
