Since the Ship is small it is a cozy & personable ship. You get to know your shipmates & staff. You will Not get lost in a crowd.like in larger cruise ships. It is well organized and a Relaxing experience

We were on the Herje (sister ship) because of scheduling conflict. This is a nice cruise if you want to see the countryside along the Rhine and are okay with seeing cathedrals and churches at every stop.

A standard room on the lowest deck with a water level window vs a French or regular balcony works fine if you are used to interior rooms on cruise ships. Again, you are not in your room that much and when you are sailing, you want to be on the upper deck to see both sides of the river.

The ship's were swapped earlier in the season and we were on the Viking Herja. Very clean and fun Captain Peter!
