We Really Enjoyed Our Cruise! Viking is very Relaxing & Well organized. Small ships mean fewer People, Good Food & excellent Attention to their guests!
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Well planned by Viking. Greetings by Captain & staff! Well organized with distribution of room & keys
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
A couple of dinners were Hit & Miss. For instance the German night, the food was bland. Many times the food wasn't Hot Hot! You needed to get to eating before it got cold. The Breakfast & Lunch are good.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There is a walking track, shuffle board, a putting green, library, & sun deck. It is a river boat, really cant do much else
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The Pianist was very nice. A few local acts would perform in the evenings. Viking is about Relaxing..we had our laptops & watched Netflix after hours.
Children's Programs
There are no kids programs. There were 2nyoung people on board, & I cant imagine Why Parents thought bringing them on a boat without youth to interact with was a good idea. I prefer No Kids on Viking
Service and Staff

Our Rooms were well kept as well as All Public places!
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
This is Our 2nd Viking Cruise, so we knew the rooms would be small. The bathrooms are EXTRA SMALL( Get In & Get Out! Lol) There was just enough room in your cabin fornyourblughage &,maneuvering around. We had the French Balcony which is a Floor length window that opens. That was good enough for us
Ship tip
Since the Ship is small it is a cozy & personable ship. You get to know your shipmates & staff. You will Not get lost in a crowd.like in larger cruise ships. It is well organized and a Relaxing experience
Zurich Walking tour & Lake Cruise would have been better it it wasn't SO COLD & Damp. We had a Guide who got Is thru it But then there were snow flurries...Wow! And the Shops were closed for Easter Break! Bummer. The Lake Cruise ( even in the Cold);was nice. The boat was Very clean & warm! We were able to purchase Hot Drinks and snacks. The staff were very friendly & efficient in accommodating ways Cold travelers! Better than most Lake cruises I've been on! Oh & Clean bathrooms!! Yay
Our first We opted for the Highlights of the Alps Tour. It was a very nice drive to the Village ( Brienz) with breathtakingly beautiful views of the lake & the Alps. There was Not much to do in the village since we were there during Easter break & it was Earlier in the morning. Many shops weren't open. We continued to train station to travel to the Alps. That was fun! Our Tour guide was Excellent! She explained the History & kept us all together! The Alps was Beautiful...you could play in the Snow a little & shop in the gift shop...that's it. We were given lunch...Meh. All Carbs, potatoes & Pasta lots of cheese. But the cafe staff were nice & efficient. Then back in the train & drove thru a more touristy town but didnt stop. If you want to sight see the Alps ...then go!
We did the walking tour & Gutenberg Museum! Charming city! Our guide was Wonderful. She even demonstrated the print press in the Museum. We also had plenty of time to shop, Eat, & have a coffee afterwards
