Excellent trip. The crew and staff were very professional and proficient at their jobs. There were plenty of things to do along the way and the food was outstanding.

Was a wonderful ship and crew, excursions were great. Food outstanding

The pre-cruise Swiss excursion (5 days) was truly excellent, including the Glacier Express train. Viking did an excellent job overall of managing the cruise; the staff was outstanding. Hotels in Zurich and Paris were good hotels but not convenient for visiting sights. Zermatt was a lot of fun. The pre-cruise Swiss excursion guide (Charles) was excellent. Guides on the river cruise portion for the most part were ordinary. Management of time by the guides on the tours was not very good. Viking cruises are expensive so you expect top quality. That was not the case about 30% of the time. Some of the wine tasting were truly sub-par, not worth the money spent on the excursions. The Versailles excursion was way overpriced. Should have cost 1/2 of what we paid for what we saw and did. The river cruise had only 4 hours of scenic cruising, the rest was very mundane. Once again, the Viking staff was truly outstanding.

A wonderful vacation with all necessary services included. Will definitely do another river cruise in the future.

This was a great cruise. The staff were the best. Tours were very good. We went the end of May/first of June so weather was good. Boat is small but beautiful. We were worried that we would be the youngest passengers but that was not the case. Viking should be considered by any adult wanting a quite but beautiful cruise.

We bought the extra travel decision for flight and appreciated that. We did a ship swap due to low river levels- this is not a problem! IT was handled very well. Great people on the cruise - met nice friendly folks.

Viking takes care of the details so you can relax and enjoy the scenery and be in vacation mode.

Although we have been on many enjoyable ocean cruises over the past 30 years, they just don't compare with the intimacy and relaxed environment of a Viking river cruise. It was a wonderful experience for us and we can't wait to go on another Viking river cruise.

Andrew and the staff worked tirelessly to make everything top notch for our vacation. We had one problem with the hotel in Switzerland. We got a room that was that was not clean from a fellow cruiser that switched rooms.

Fantastic. The Alps were Beutiful. Everything got more Amazing than the last.

The river levels caused considerable replanning of the itinerary by Viking. I believe that they did the best they could given the circumstances. There was no additional compensation or ship credits or future cruise credits given because of the changes.
