Despite the severe drought and low river levels, Viking did a superb job of taking care of us. The middle Rhine was impassable due to low level of the river. We were taken by bus from the initial ship to another ship on the Moselle. Super Job!

Review summary

The river levels caused considerable replanning of the itinerary by Viking. I believe that they did the best they could given the circumstances. There was no additional compensation or ship credits or future cruise credits given because of the changes.

When docked, our cabin looked out on concrete walls due to the level of the river. We were paying for the additional viewing of the surrounding, and that was reduced. We were on deck 2.
