This was our first Viking cruise. The itinerary was outstanding, the staff worked very hard and there were no additional charge excursions at every port.
The smallness of the ship was both a plus and a minus. You were always surrounded by people, met lots of the cruisers . This was fun but not always— little space for solitude.
Similarly the entertainment was limited due to lack of facilities and resources.
I expected more , from the commercials about Viking on PBS.
Embarkation

Smooth .
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was inconsistent— sometimes excellent ant other times tasteless. There is one restaurant and a small terrace which offers a breakfast buffet and waiter service lunch and dinner. There is one seating for dinner.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Limited activities— a few lectures. There is a small library and two computers. On the top deck you can walk— but it was too cold for that.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
A few nights outside performers provided the evening entertainment. There was a piano player with an electronic piano, and also a track playing music. A sort of karaoke was available using your phone,
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The waiters were not very friendly for the most part. During breakfast they were slow to clear the tables.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship was clean.
It is a small ship and had limited public space. It was decorated simply and somewhat sparsely.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
It was a very small cabin, with a floor to ceiling window. There was no place to really sit other than the bed. The bathroom was adequate but small.
The cabin was kept clean and well stocked with toiletries etc.
Ship tip
If possible, book a suite— they have a sitting area!
