This was our first Viking cruise. The itinerary was outstanding, the staff worked very hard and there were no additional charge excursions at every port. The smallness of the ship was both a plus and a minus. You were always surrounded by people, met lots of the cruisers . This was fun but not always— little space for solitude. Similarly the entertainment was limited due to lack of facilities and resources. I expected more , from the commercials about Viking on PBS.

We've been to Paris before, but this trip was different. We loved Monet' garden. That was one of our reasons for selecting this trip! It did not disappoint. We truly appreciated our terrific cruise program director (Ken). He arranged for a special ceremony at the American cemetery. It was very moving and I particularly appreciated being recognized for my military service.

Loved Giverny, felt submerged in Monet's paintings. The commonwealth Normandy cemetery was emotional. Would have enjoyed seeing a field of lavender in Provence... All in all a most enjoyable, interesting River Cruise with great food, nice people and many new experiences.

The trip brings a wonderful knowledge of what our troops went through to liberate Europe.

Viking really took precautions to protect us against COVID which we really appreciated. The testing was noninvasive and daily. Our program directors were great on both ships as were the ports of call, the shore excursions, and docking locations.
