Review summary

Disappointed with P&O but I know others will disagree as everyone has their favourite line & ship but she’s not ours!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Online check in done and on the ship in no time after booking CPS parking who were very polite, quick and excellent service.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Would have been 5 stars but a few staff were very rude but waiter (can’t remember his name) at The Glass House was amazing knowing his wines etc. The waitress (Monika I think) in The Tamarind bar was lovely but members of her team were rude.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Swimming pools very cold and busy so avoided!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows were good and the Adele tribute was amazing.

Children's Programs

Son is 19

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Would have been 5 stars but a few staff were very rude but waiter (can’t remember his name) at The Glass House was amazing knowing his wines etc. The waitress (Monika I think) in The Tamarind bar was lovely but members of her team were rude. Room attendant Ajit was amazing. Instenlio in the Havana club was also amazing!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Disappointed by the difficult lay out of parts of the ship. Lots of blocked toilets!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was amazing!

Ship tip

Be aware they are not very kind to guests who are impaired when getting on and off the ship, we witness a poor chap who needed his sticks or he would fall over but the proceeded to take his sticks to pat him down to which he fell but another guest had the sense to move a chair which he landed in all this after he told them more than once!

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

5 out of 5
Like Southampton but did not visit!

Amsterdam, Netherlands

1 out of 5
We did not land in Amsterdam we were docked in Ijmuiden. We were advised by P&O that there was a change then told by the person on the phone that it was a nice port well all I can say is she has obviously never been there also the coach broke down twice and a short shuttle was a good hour and the second day it took over an hour and a half!

Bruges

4 out of 5
We didn’t go to Bruges but we went to Blankenberge which was very nice.

St. Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands Did not visit port

Could not moor as too windy whic was greatly disappointing especially as we were told they had only docked once out of the last five visits!

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
What a joke, I don’t like crowds and panic but we were herded into the Havana club as we made the fatal mistake of leaving out our luggage the night before! Never do that again!

Seems like you didn’t have the best of times. Hope you reported the staff that you found very rude, if not they cannot be reprimanded and may continue to be be rude to others. I’m sure their supervisor wouldn’t stand for rudeness from any of there staff.

We have just returned from an Easter break with P&O. We encountered no problems whatsoever and had a lovely time making many treasured memories Thank you to all the staff and crew (April 19-23 2019) Anne and Alex Kerry

Agree with what you say about embarkation because it is really great. Bruges is really really REALLY great. You do have to go on a train to get to Bruges but its only about half an hour. My mum is going for her third time next year!

We always found staff very helpful to people getting on and off the ship. A lot of older people sail with P&O
