Review summary

We loved the staff on this cruise. Our room steward Yendri was polite, friendly, and he kept the room clean. We had open seating, but found we needed a reservation to get a table in a timely fashion. We ended up at the same table nearly every night and the waiter at table 134 was just great. He remembered we all liked tea, and he had it for us nearly  as soon as we sat down.

A BIG minus on this trip was the lack of port time in every port except Port Canaveral where there wasn't much to do if you had already been to the Space Station.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5

Onboard Activities

Would have liked more lectures. The preacher (Rev, Peabody) was good and aware he had Protestants of various ilks.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment on past cruises has been much better. I loved the quartet and missed the mentalist, but overall is not as classy as past cruises with Holland.

Children's Programs

Did not use.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Aurora in the Lido and the young lady in the hamburger stand were so friendly. Such a good staff all the way around.

Cabin / Stateroom

We normally get a window or balcony so it was a bit of a let-down, but it was sure handy to everything.

Ship tip

We loved the staff on this ship. We had taken a Holland cruise in June and even though it was great, this ship had more friendly staff than that one.

Ports of call

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

We just walked around the city. If you are there when the Art Museum or Confederation Home is open, see these things. We love PEI.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
We took the trip to Louisbourg. The history there is amazing.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Walked down to the Maritime Museum (less than a mile.) That was so much cheaper than taking the ship's tour.

Bar Harbor, Maine

It was raining. Not a fit day for sightseeing until about the time we left.

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

We got on a Hop On bus. We were not afforded enough time to do many of the things our ticket allowed us to do. The ship really left early.

Charleston, South Carolina

We stopped in Port Canaveral instead. It was just ok.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

It's hard to know what to write. Here is where we boarded our plane to come home.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Next time in Port Canaveral visit Jetty Park or the Exploration Tower which is right in the port.

We always use open seating and also usually get the same servers.  The next time you are in Port Canaveral, visit the Exploration Tower right in the ports.  It takes only a couple of hours to go through the seven floors and you will get a great photo of your ship in port.  Jetty park is a nice beach just outside of the port.
