Review summary

The ship itself is nice, yet small. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. There is not much to keep you occupied on the ship if you are not into the lounge scene. They have 1 swim pool and a handful of hot tubs that close at 9pm. There were 2 ping pong tables and a couple of sports courts. Ping Pong balls kept disappearing from the holder for them and by the end of the cruise there seemed to ony be 2 balls to use and the tables were in poor condition. They ran out of Coke Zero on day 4 of cruise, then the next day they were out of strawberries and raspberries. Also ran out of the Muscato wine to buy as a bottle and only available one glass at a time, they also ran short on milk and yogurt. It seemed that whoever ordered their supplies did not complete their job and our food orders were mixed up on a regular basis. The food was really good, yet seemed to be a bit on the cool side. We will not choose to cruise with them again. Had a much better experience on Carnival Magic as there was lots to do and the food orders were always spot on and there was never an issue of running out of food choices. Carnival's pizza was also much, much better. Holland America's pizza tasted like cardboard, not enjoyable at all! Plus you could not get a hot dog or hamburger on the pool deck after 5pm as they closed then. Carnival did a day where they grilled on deck one afternoon and early evening and it was delicious.

Not super impressed with the talent, except for the one night when they brought in the act of the juggler and singer combo.

Children's Programs

Have no way of knowing on this one, did not need to utilize this.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Nothing exceptional

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great amount of space and the housekeeping staff were incredible. The only complaint we have is you only have one outlet. They helped us out by providing a power strip for us, which took care of what we needed. Great bathroom and shower facilities, loved our cabin.

Ship tip

Don't miss the formal nights, there are always great choices for food those nights.
