Review summary

My partner and I are 30s/40s age range now and booked this cruise sort of on a whim - essentially sold on the ‘no kids’ aspect of this cruise line. It’s vibrant and vibey with delicious food with an eclectic cruise population that has a nice balance of relaxation and party atmosphere

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was the smoothest and quickest thing I’ve ever experienced. We did have deep extra blue perks (due to matching our cruise status from other cruise lines) and we were able to get priority embarkation. We arrived at 130pm which is the earliest you can board without being RockStars (VIP) and instantly were escorted to walk through the terminal, show our passports and info, get our sea bands, and await in the loading area. We waited about 10 mins and then were called in straight on to the ship without a hitch!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The fact there is little to no upsell on the food here is what made this cruise for us. The quality and presentation is absolutely stunning and delicious. Now this isn’t your standard cruise fare food - the galley which is more a food hall delivers a nice variety of options and the restaurants are each of their own unique and surprisingly tasty. I would say you do need to be open minded and open to trying new types of foods and gastronomy creations. They aren’t a standard chicken fingers, fries, burgers, steaks and soups type of place. I’ve been on RCL, DCL and NCL and feel if you’re into fusion / modern / vibey type foods; the options here will be on point.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
I love their concept of the “Happenings Cast” I took me awhile to understand how this differs from other cruise line but essentially replace a Cruise Director with 6-8 unique Individuals that cater to food, art, magic, dance, etc where each person thrives in their own category and meshes well with each other forming a team of entertainment. I would say I’d rank it 4 stars only cause we wanted more options through the day/night. But the themed parties the ship throws like Scarlet Night and PJ party make it more fun to plan outfits and hang out outside normal hours. I do wish the PJ Party, We Fancy are ship wide like Scarlet Night though.
