Never again, Virgin Voyages. Three weeks of my life I will never get back. 12 days on the cruise and another 10 days off work recovering from CV-19. I have never been so pleased to see the UK at the end of a holiday as I was on 01.04.2022

Food and Dining

If you managed to book via the app, count yourself lucky, the wifi was very unreliable! There are 4 choices for each curse in each restaurant and it never changes. The pork in Pink Agave was delicious. The 24/7 Galley all day breakfast was either lukewarm or cold when it arrived at your table - not particularly appetising. The yoghurt was questionable - more like milk! Disappointing
Astonishing that during the cruise, they ran out of some foods and drinks when one considers there were around 1600 passengers on a boat that has a capacity of 2700-ish
No in cabin drinks making facility, if you don't want to pay then you have to go to deck 15 for a hot drink
Onboard Activities

same every day. the pool is ??? designed for the club 18-30's to do their selfies but forget swimming! I didn't go on an 80's extravaganza to play board games and do jigsaws!
Entertainment
1 out of 5
The entertainment didn't change and our 80's extravaganza was 3 x 1 hour shows per passenger.
The Never sleep alone was the biggest load of garbage ever, not even funny and when the hostess took off her suit and shirt ................
Service and Staff

The young people who form the crew were brilliant and I felt really sorry for them having to deal with all the fallout from Virgin & Imagine cruising's failings and inadequacies.
When confined to isolation on dec 9, my lovely food fairy rang me every meal time for my order. They occasionally struggled to get it right but we DID get fed and watered
Ship Quality

there's no real flow to the design. It's a mish mash of designer ideas
The air con system allegedly kills 99.9% of bugs and viruses - shame the 0.1% got to a lot of us. In a group I'm in, 99 of 212 tested positive either during the voyage or in the week after disembarkation no idea how many in total were affected
Cabin / Stateroom

very comfortable bed but a weird set up if you didn't want it as a double. Never offered the sea bed version. Clean. Lack of storage - 2 of the 4 shelves occupied by the life jackets and safe. Bathroom and cupboard drawrs an accident waiting to happen. Cases have to be stored under the beds as hanging space is impeded if you put them in the "wardrobe" You need to take your own hangers as there's only 10 provided and they're wire, covered in a horrible sticky rubbery stuff.
No drink making facility, you have to go to deck 15 every time you want a drink
Due to circumstances beyond control we didn't arrive until around 18.00 and departed 02.00.
HOWEVER, the cruise was advertised as 2 DAYS in Lisbon and people had made arrangements based on this. Imagine cruising claimed to have not known until the Sunday evening that we would only be there for one day. Yet surely Virgin had signed this off when Imagine sub contracted???
As we were in isolation, we were last off but it sounded like mayhem. The gangway was VERY steep and I really struggled with my luggage and the steepness, no assistance was offered despite there being plenty of staff around
