Lots of folks unhappy on social media about this cruise. We sailed with hurricane Milton hitting Florida. With all of the ships being affected, our itinerary really took a hit. Instead of stopping at Canaveral, Nassau and Coco Cay, they changed to Puerto Plata and Labadee. But then they had to cancel Labadee. So only ended up with 1 stop. The issue was, rather then being truthful (we got pushed out of Labadee because another ship had to be rerouted and that was only port available) they fed us a story about safety and trying to get ahead of the storm. Well everyone knew there was NO WAY we could get ahead š. Everything was fine - a little rocking 1 day, and we ended up following behind storm up the coast. RC did refund a day, so I thought that was more than fair.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Night before they sent out a message saying they were going to have to move the ship and stop boarding at 11:30. People were *supposed* to stick to their assigned times. But of course everybody rushes to be able to get on early. Huge bottleneck of traffic. Additionally was a delay with prior cruise disembarking. Ultimately they did NOT move the ship, and the stress was for nothing š.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Ate every dinner in main dining room. Servers Ace and Murthan were fantastic. Food tastes are so personal, I feel it is almost a waste to review, but in my non-foodie, fairly ānormalā opinion, it was very good. MUCH better than our last RC cruise (February 2024/Enchantment). It helps that there are multiple venues to choose from. Solarium cafe a nice option to relieve windjammer congestion.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
If you are an early bird, take advantage of it! There is always a pool open early, as well as hot tubs. That is when I enjoy them, before they become pots of āhuman soupā š. Fitness center as well - opened every day a few minutes before 6. Couldnāt bring myself to brave the rock walls, and lots of folks managed to play pickleball.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Do NOT miss the ice skating show (1977) Very impressive skating and fun effects (drones!). Hairspray is great for those who enjoy musicals, others may find it too long (they cut it a bit-no intermission). Flight is fun as well - the production was very impressive, and it isnāt a full blown musical type show, so possibly better for those who arenāt big show fans. Various music available around the ship as well, so plenty of opportunities to enjoy. Also a quick heads up- the diving show stadium seats get soot from the stacks on them. Wipe them off if you can to save your clothes š
Service and Staff

Most every staff member you pass will smile and acknowledge you. Always impressed with that, considering some of the patrons they deal with š¬. Especially when you compare them with the port workers you encounter while boarding/disembarkingā¦ not *quite* so friendlyā¦ š
Ship Quality

Ship was very clean and pretty. My only issue is a personal preference - I am not really a fan of the oasis class. My favorite thing to do on a ship is to enjoy a drink, listen to music and watch the ocean go by. Oasis class ships really focus on the interior - I find it hard to āfind the oceanā. While there are tons of venues and opportunities to people watch (and Central Park is definitely beautiful and unique) there are no windows available.
Cabin / Stateroom

Interior. Quite spacious. Loved the shower glass door.
Ship tip
Book the shows you want to see the most early in the cruise, as they cancel them often. Will give you opportunity to catch a rescheduled time vs totally missing out. Make use of the different restaurants. Windjammer can become quite crowded at peak times, and there are lots of other options on board. As always, keep your perspective and entitlement in check - please remember that *everyone* is on vacation, not just your family. š
