Review summary

A nice getaway and impressive ship. Try to catch it in the off season, because at 100% capacity the ship definitely makes it known that its at 100%.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Simple and painless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Buffet- average royal buffet food. Not grand but it works MDR- Loved the french onion soup!! Wonderland- Divine and tasty 150 Central Park- my favorite food of the whole cruise, get the short rib!! Hooked Seafood- Not my favorite, bland food

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were always way too crowded to use, personally I dont want people shoulder to shoulder with me in a pool. Ultimate Abyss and Waterslides were amazing! Rising tide bar pretty cool. Carousel was a classic

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Hiro, 1977, and Flight were amazing. I have never seen shows this grand and jaw dropping in my 20 years of cruising. Favorite was 1977 definitely go see it! Note: A lot of the shows require reservations so be sure to do that the first day, don’t wanna miss it!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Majority friendly staff. Encountered issues with some of the bartenders being rude, ultimate abyss staff yelling out orders

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Really nice ship. Kept up well

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Porthole room. Very spacious and clean. Room steward was attentive.

Ship tip

Reserve shows and dining upon boarding immediately, don’t wait.

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

1 out of 5
A huge letdown. Advertised as a perfect day to the point where it gets annoying from day 1. Everything on the island is over priced and hugely priced. Plus, they allowed for the Mariner to be docked with us the same day so almost 10,000 people and the island was not handling it well. Constantly tripping over people waiting forever for drinks and food. People soup in the pool. I would only come back if we were the only ship there.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
One of my favorite ports

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Facial recognition so the whole process took about 10 mins max. Love this system!
