Ship: Symphony of the Seas

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Loved the cruise. We were on the Harmony a few years ago and wanted to experience a similar ship with different entertainment options. This ship did not disappoint despite it being identical to the Harmony. Next stop. Wonder of the Seas!

Embarkation

We arrived an hour before our scheduled time and was still able to board within 15 min. The cruise port was amazing and super efficient. Recommend uploading all docs via the app beforehand. You will board quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We ate at the MDR for all 7 nights. The French onion soup was definitely a favorite which I ordered 4 of the nights. Lobster night was something I looked forward to all cruise and it did not disappoint. Loved Sorrento's, El Loco Fresh, and Park Cafe. All had amazing snacks in between meals.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the variety of activities on the ship. We did the water slides, rock climbing wall, zip lining, and the abyss slide. Highly recommend you take advantage of the onboard activities. There is always something to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The biggest reason I love the Oasis class ships is because of the shows. We enjoyed a show every single night. Aqua theater, ice skating, Broadway and original productions, vocal artists and comedy acts. Although the comedians weren't amazing, everything else was just spectacular. We really enjoyed both ice skating shows, Hiro, and Hairspray.

Stayed in a central park balcony, I highly recommend it. We got a great show of the Christmas carols.

Ship tip

Book everything as soon as you get on the ship. All shows require reservations and it is difficult to get into a show if you didn't book it on the first day (or even the first hour after boarding).
