Did not eat at any extra charge restaurants. We eat at the MDR 3 nights and enjoyed, good not great. Menu did not change too much, last night we had lobster (no extra charge) and it was wonderful.
Windjammer for breakfast and lunch. Food was not great but okay. We should have tried other venues for breakfast.
Tried Mexican restaurant , did not like it but we are not Chipotle fans, very similar.
Pizza was okay. Hot and tasty.
Disappointed in Bistro at Solarium, many options were not available. Just slow refilling food areas. Small servings but similar to Windjammer. Atmosphere was nicer, quieter and not as busy.
We are not drinkers, bought the non alcoholic berverage package and was glad we did. Bottled water, sodas and coffee, lattes, shakes, Johnny rockets, smoothies from the spa. Also any virgin drinks. All great! Well worth it.

Went to all shows , Flight was great, Hair was just as good. HIRO and 1977 (ice show) was amazing, especially the drone lights in the beginning of 1977.
Comedy show was really funny also.
Suggest reservations, we booked using cruise planner pre boarding, other wise you might not get in but with reservations you get the first choice of seats.

All brand new, very clean. This was our very first cruise so layout seemed fine to us. Large and lots of walking.
Cabin / Stateroom

Plenty of room for 2, balcony was great, did not use too much but late afternoon for an hour or so after the pool before dinner.
Ship tip
Large ship, take time to find areas, 4 days is not long enough.
We carried our luggage off, Walked right through customs , long line but it moved. Problem for us was we parked in the parking garage, very long line getting to elevator for parking garage. We walked up to car.
We did the same w Harmony for our 1st cruise. We are totally spoiled. On Symphony in a couple days! Loyal to Royal! I can't see going anywhere else. So glad to hear such a great time.
