Good food, friendly staff, but too many Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle passengers. Also many maintenance issues.

Review summary

Food in main dining room was better than other RCCL ships. Chops, Jamies and Hooked were not worth the extra cost. The slides are fun but can be dangerous if you get out of control while riding. The Diamond lounge is very small. The Coastal Kitchen is nice but can get very noisy during happy hour. The shows have many technical innovations but the volume is way too loud, making it difficult to hear singer's voices. The ice show is fantastic. The water show on Allure is better and has more diving. I wasn't impressed with this Aqua show even though the technical aspects were incredible.

Ship tip

Book my time dining and verify as soon as you board. Purchase dining package on line before the cruise and be sure to confirm upon boarding. Many mix ups and cancelations were reported. Book shows on line well ahead of sailing.

Disembarkation

The ship stopped in Port Canaveral for immigration the day before disembarking the next day in Miami. This was a long, chaotic and frustrating day. Beware of long taxi line waits and bus transfer waits in Miami.
