Just got off the Star over the weekend and had an amazing time in Alaska. It was our second time on Star (last time was 2010) and I can see some improvements and refurbished areas since then. The hand washing area in Horizon court is a great idea. Unfortunately the food there has gone downhill but the dining room meals were still decent. We had excellent weather that the captain tried to take credit for and I’m sure it’s a major factor of the 5 star review. Glacier Bay and College Fjord sea days were spectacular and we had extra time at both locations to soak in the sights and sun. Decent calving at both location. We got upgraded to a balcony and I couldn’t be more grateful. When I booked I read that a balcony wasn’t really needed for Alaska but with the sunny weather it made the cruise that much more memorable. The new beds are super comfortable. I loved having a naturalist on board the entire trip and that the rangers came on board for Glacier Bay day. I booked all of my excursions from Princess and was highly satisfied with all of them. White pass rail was canceled due to a rock slide but we rebooked with a shuttle to the summit and it ended up being probably a better choice because we got to get out to take photos. One advice would be to bring motion sickness medications or seabands because the ship rocks quite a bit going through the inner passage. Luckily the seabands worked for me but I heard from other passengers that quite a few people were at medical bay that day.

Overall, good cruise, except for laundry facilities, and ceiling water leak in cabin.

Wonderful cruise to Alaska. Words and pictures can’t begin to describe how beautiful Alaska. The ship and crew were wonderful. 🚢♥️❄️😘 Can’t begin to say enough good things about this cruise.

Service was out of this world. Reminders to wash hands was helpful. Comedian was great, Robbie Printz Enjoyed the entertainment. Avoid formal night.

Other than the embarkation and stateroom size, we were very satisfied with the cruise.

The crew stood out - very hardworking, very professional and friendly! A special mention to Anna (Amalfi) and Mark Bernardino for the exemplary service with s smile! To each and everyone of your crew you guys rock!!

Unbelievable natural beauty and Captains maneuvering to get close for all passengers to see without risk to nature or ship.

Overall, I am very satisfied with Star Princess Alaska cruise although we didn't visit the last port due to technical issues. Food - excellent, on board activities - excellent and Service/staff also excellent. I will highly recommend Princess Cruises to my friends.

This is my second time on princess and the food was just okay. Not sure if I would sail w them again. Lobster was over cooked and salty. My husband had a late dinner in buffet one evening and said the food was a tad better there than the MDR. We enjoyed the ports on this cruise and had fun but need to think about coming back w princess because of the food quality.

If the weather had been better the ship would have been better. Lots of things about it were good but there was no wow factor. The staff, especially Willi the room steward were all very helpful.

Cabin was smaller than I expected..food was okay..entertainment was lacking for me. I felt it was more geared to an older crowd than my age. Staff was okay.

Love this ship and staff..booked our next cruise to Hawaii in April same ship after an amazing honeymoon❤ It was my husbands cruise and my 9th on Princess. He's hooked on cruising :)

Overall, the ship is in good shape ~ balconies can use some sprucing up ~ loved the Lido Horizon Court ~ very helpful & friendly staff there and everywhere. My husband uses a wheelchair ~ the ramp to the Princess Theatre needs to be “reworked”.

Again, I've discovered I do not enjoy cruise ships. We only did this because there was a group of us family members. If the weather was nicer, we would have had a more pleasant experience being able to utilize our balcony more and escape the crowds.

Overall we really enjoyed this cruise. The room left something to be desired but amenities were top notch. I would recommend this cruise and cruise line to others. Just pay attention to potential weather issues and exactly what you are getting for a cabin. I will certainly consider Princess in the future. Other than the TINY room, I think this was a very enjoyable cruise with a great staff, restaurants, lounges and bars.

I really, really enjoyed the sea days. It was so relaxing not having to worry about what time to go to bed or get up in the morning, eating whenever I wanted. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. What I didn't care for was stopping in Ensenada as one of the ports. This area is not safe and not at all representative of Mexico. The rest was practically perfect. I would recommend this cruise to anyone, particularly if you are 50+ years old. Enjoy!

We had an amazing time! We had club class dining in the portifino. John was our waiter he was amazing! Jimmy Tan was the bus boy that remembered us by name every time! Pulled our chairs out and placed the napkin on our laps. Remembering our drink orders by memory every night 😃 they were both amazing! John our waiter I can’t remember his last name. John C. Was so friendly and respectful. They represented Princess Cruises in such a classy way.

As far as being my number 30 Cruz ever in my life I find that princess was not up to par with what I have heard about for many years being as though it was the love boat I was expecting a little bit more but all in all I love to cruise and haven't had a really bad experience on any cruise that I have taken. There some dues and don'ts but every cruiseship is great as long as I am out to see and don't have to cook and clean any cruise is good for me
