Review summary

The music was better on this Princes ship compared to Celebrity. The food and selection was better on Celebrity. Since my wife and I are musicians the music wins out over the food.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The prime rib was great. The Pizza was very limited compared to what is available on a Celebrity ship.

Pizzeria

3 out of 5

Very limited variety. Only 3 types each day.We are on a Hawaiian cruise and they had Hawaiian pizza only one day. Every day they had Pepperoni, every day. One veggie pizza and one specialty pizza. That was the one day I got the Hawaiian.Celebrity Cruise Lines has a Pizza bar with multiple pizzas. If they don't have what you want they will make it.Princess's Pizza bar is a joke.

More like a warm tub than a hot tub.

The House band was great, we never missed one of their performances. The Sunset Quartet usually played in the Wheel House Bar. They are not to be missed. Nano Prado played in the Crooners Bar. He played piano and Sang. It was usually standing room only for him. It was hard to decide which we liked better Prado or Sunset Quartet. Jon Persson also played piano at Crooners bar and in the Piazza. When he played in the Piazza he also played accordion one half the time. The Starlight Trio was three girls playing a string trio usually in the Piazza. They were very good. Cameron Dunbar played acoustic guitar usually in Crooner's Bar or the Wheel House. We enjoyed him also. The only group we did not care for was called Leal. I do not know if that was the name of the group or the name of the singer. They performed in the Explorers Lounge. Did not care for the singer at all. Lucky for us she got sick the last few days of the trip and we listened to just her back up band. They were great. As for the production shows The British Invasion had 2 or 3 good songs in the beginning and I thought it was going to be great, but the rest of the show went down hill. Stardust was a great show lot of good songs. Born To Dace another great show. The Star Princes Dancers did a 60's party that was great. Guest Artists were: Stephen Kane piano showman - Very good Levent comedy magic - very good David Klinkenberg violinist - very good. My wife got to go on stage and play a duet with him. Dan Horn comedy Ventriloquist - we really enjoyed the show. Alison Ward supposed to be a singer - Very bad ruined even song she sang couldn't wait to get out of the theater. Doug Funk comedian - average to poor have heard much better. The magian & ventriloquist were much more enjoyable & funnier. Andrew John Diessner an average singer - not much to care for here.
