Review summary

Not happy with amount of sea days...not enough to do on board.....very cold temperatures, did not have enough time in Islands. Should be longer in islands as that is why we took the trip. Felt cheated as far as land time available.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Porters were very helpful getting my husband a wheelchair and assisting us on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
They were good, staff was very helpful.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Used the fitness center almost everyday. Not happy how some guests treated the staff. All guests should sign a waiver acknowledging that treadmill use and equipment is limited to 20 minutes per person. Many guests hogged machines for over an hour then gave staff a difficult time when asked to limit use so other 5 guests waiting could have a turn.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Shows could have been better....more diverse. Needed more oldies type shows....more retirees on board than anything else.....should appeal to them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room Steward Victor Ticaro was excellent. Took great care of us...wonderful human being...kind polite, professional. Waiter Melvin Baranda and his assistant waiter Ranier Flores were the best we've ever had. Totally professional but also a delight to talk to, very kind and knowledgeable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was immaculate!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Problem with faucet water being brown first few seconds when turned on....very unappetizing, shower extremely small.

Ship tip

Bring books or e reader, very small library on board, bring warm clothing was very cool most of trip. Don't bother with CRUISE CLOTHING.....bring nice workout clothing for daytime and dressy casual for evenings other than formal night. Ships should do away with formal nights.....just have dressy casual.

Ports of call

Hilo, Hawaii

4 out of 5
Very disappointed as we booked helicopter tour and it was canceled....should have some sort of back up plan for guests as all other tours were booked...we never saw a waterfall, lava flow or black sand beach.

Honolulu, Oahu

3 out of 5
Too crowed, to commercial.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

3 out of 5

Lahaina, Maui

4 out of 5
Couldn't book tour....everything to far away. Very crowded port, shopping only thing available.

Ensenada, Mexico

1 out of 5
Awful, took tour of blow hole and it was not listed as a half mile walk thru the market where you are accosted by merchants, in your face, blocking your path, wearing f--- Trump Tee Shirts...very offensive, not a trip for people who are handicapped, also not listed that bathrooms must be paid for. Place was filthy, awful. Long, long walk from bus....especially as my husband uses a cane. Very misrepresented.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Staff very helpful....found a wheelchair for my husband as it was too much for him to walk off ship.

The best way to see Hawaii is to spend a couple weeks going to a couple islands.

We cruise because we love sea days..the more the merrier. Its all about the ocean.the movement.the tranquillity of being away from land .

Did you not read the Itinerary before you booked the cruise, I always check out the sea days and time ashore. 🤔
