Review summary
Forget the land portion of the cruise. A waste of time and money. Cruise portion okay. Would be nice if the cruise included more excursion type of activities included in the cruise. Overall, not impressed with this cruise. We did the glacier and whale watch. The glacier part your on your own, for that much money a tour guide would seem appropriate. The whale portion was great. However, if you had already seen whales not sure if the amount of money it cost justifieds seeing them again.
Embarkation

The only negative was that we asked for single beds in the room ahead of time, when we got to our room it was not so. We were anxious to unpack finally after days of moving from hotel to hotel. I insisted that the change be made right away and some nice fellow did come and take care of us.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Our waiter Stephen Aguilar and his junior waiter Velanco Pereira were excellent. Pleasant and efficient. Stephen made us feel like family and we loved his singing too!

Entertainment

Loved the comedian. He was great.
The only show that was a real disappointment was the waiter show. The major chefs were like a 5 th grade show. The actual two male singers were fantastic as were the dancers.
The 40s, 50s, show was just okay.

10 Stars for Stephen Aguilar and Velanco Pereira **********
Our room guy was very nice also.
Ship Quality

The ship appears to be clean, however, my husband was sick most the Time, and I got sick at the end of the cruise. Apparently there were three floors of sick people. When I returned home my doctor confirmed that we are positive for the flu(influenza). Difficult to enjoy the cruise at that point.

My bed was uncomfortable, but I didn't tell anyone. Felt like a broken spring right at my back. Overall very clean.
Ship tip
Bring medicine and don't bother with the land portion of the cruise. Exhausting, one hotel after another an douses n and offf, lots of tipping. and we never saw Denali. Or any animals in the forest.
The ship part was okay, but the bus was slow and drove through town not an expressway. Pull off in a parking lot at the airport to ask a question which could have been done on the drive. Everyone was in a hurry to get on their flights. The Vancouver airport was a nightmare. Thousands of people in cattle lines...on after another. Thought it would never end. We were exhausted and sick.
