Review summary

We had a great time. The cruise was terrific it was amazing how a cruise line can keep 2500 passengers occupied and entertained for nine sea days. The Cruise Director and his staff did a great job in keeping us entertained for that period of time. The Princess production performers were sensational for the shows they were scheduled to perform. We have been cruising for almost twenty years and by far this was the best Captain we had encountered. He was informative, friendly and always present. You never knew when you would run into him just walking the deck or in one of the events. The only recommendation I would make to Princess is to schedule more time on the islands. I would like Princess to consider staying overnight in Honolulu so you can take in all the sights on that stop, I would also extend the stay on the other islands a couple of hours. Maybe eliminate Ensenada to extend the Hawaiian part of the cruise. The food was good, the entertainment was great and the service on the ship was exceptional.

Typical Balcony Cabin with an exceptionally tight shower.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

No comment for this destination just embarked and disembarked to and from the airport.

Hilo, Hawaii

Went on the Volcano excursion which was informative and educating. Seeing the volcano and the lava rocks it produces was unbelievable, If I had to do it again I would make sure it was the excursion that took you to the volcano which was actually flowing into the sea in a video it was a sight to behold,

Honolulu, Oahu

We did the Pearl Harbor excursion WWII from start to finish which was recommended by cruise 411 because the ship excursions were already booked. One of the best excursions we ever went on the tour guide we had was knowledgeable, informative and personable answered all our questions and made the day one I will never forget both for Pearl Harbor and the sites in Honolulu.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

We booked the Wailua River Cruise, Luau and Romantic Ceremony from Princess and although a little high priced it was well worth the money spent. It was by far the best excursion other then Pearl Harbor we ever went on. The River Boat ride up he River and the sites along with the Water Falls was breathtaking. The Smith Family Luau was unbelievable. I would highly recommend this excursion if you are visiting Nawilwili, Kauai.

Lahaina, Maui

Wanted to go on the beach break but that excursion was cancelled instead went whale watching if you are not into this type of entertainment I highly recommend save your money as they say there is a first and last time for everything.

they should find a different port in Mexico. Ensenada is kinda lame.

Maritime laws require the ship to visit a foreign port, thus Ensenada
