This is a cruise for those who like LOTS of sea days! It also avoids the long flight from Hawaii to the east coast. Sea days had lots of activities, but sometimes many were scheduled at the same time. My personal favorite was the Pop Choir. Captain Michele was the most personable we've ever had. He constantly mingled among the passengers and his daily reports were informative and entertaining. The Hawaiian islands provided many beautiful sights unseen elsewhere. Halloween was very festive! The Piazza was beautifully decorated, and most of the crew dressed up.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Selection of food was average in the dining rooms and Horizon Court. Meat portions were very large. We found the best lunch food in the International Cafe.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Loved Trivia (3x a day). Nature talks were educational. People enjoyed the craft classes and dance lessons. There was no designated room for card players.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The huge production show at the end of the cruise was fantastic. I expected more shows over the 2 weeks. There was usually music in the Piazza. String Trio was terrific. The piano player was very loud and pounding. Lunch in the Crooners Bar was awesome. The typical cruise game shows were so-so. Passengers were used a lot for entertainment: Pop Choir, Hula/Ukelele performance, Talent Show, Voice of the Ocean.
Service and Staff

All service was wonderful. Jonathan at the lobby bar was outstanding.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was spotless. There were constant reminders for passenger cleanliness and safety.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Deck 10 has larger balconies.
Our cabin steward, Briston, kept everything spotless. Out bed lacked a sheet and blanket - only a comforter. You can ask for a blanket, though. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner as those provided were very drying.
Ship tip
Enjoyed anytime dining as we met many interesting people. Be aware that the line from 5-6pm can be very long. We prefer to dine later, so we didn't have to wait long. The Capri dining room was casual. Men were allowed to wear shorts. On formal nights, ties and jackets were not required.
