Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Beautiful main dining room - the Amphora- on the Legend , anytime dining, also chose the table size you prefer. Another restaurant that requires reservation is the Candles, with outdoor seating- very beautiful setting, very romantic and great service - the best Filet Minon! Throughout the cruise ‘dinner under the stars is offered up in deck by the Star Bar - but very hard to get reservations, it’s on a first come first service basis which is very frustrating at times. Another absolute fantastic event is the barbecue on deck - amazing food, good musics, dancing’. Beautiful setting on this small yacht.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Since Windstar is a small ship experience there is not a whole lot of onboard entertainment /activities, which suits the traveler who doesn’t need to be ‘taken by the hand’ all the time! small gym is available , and also a ‘dive platform’ that can be opened in certain ports for paddle boarding and other water sports. There’s an onboard store and a small casino.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I am giving 5 stars because Windstar doesn’t really have entertainers except for two 2 man ensembles that play on deck and in the inside bar at certain times of the day- but: The crew puts together a show which is a lot of fun! Other than that there is no evening entertainment or shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The crew is outstanding- courteous, professional, helpful at all times- they are proud and happy to be a part of Windstar. It’s easy to become ‘family’ if you so desire.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful small ship - yacht- experience.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin has a nice size, bedroom with living room divided by curtain if so desired. Separate closet, which is great and also a big enough bathroom with a tub. Big bay window.

Ship tip

This is a small yacht experience for the traveler who prefers individual service, smaller ports of call and doesn’t need to be entertained to have an amazing time. Only about 200 guests makes this very special.

We did a great short excursion to the waterfalls, even though it was a 2 Hour Dr. to get there, it was very well worth it.

Hired a private boat to go scuba diving which was fun - unfortunately the visibility was not very good.

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei

Great place to visit, but not worth booking a shore excursion in my opinion- Windstar offered a bus service to go into town
