Review summary

Boarding and parking is easy; all personnel helpful. Nice that buffett is open and imm. things to do. 6 pm dining was perfect for us with 8 children 2 -14... they had their own table adj. ours and with having two waiters for their table, they were fed, amused and kept quiet and happy and we could enjoy our own dinners. Excell. choices of food, beautifully designed menues... we bought our wine as pkg. upon boarding.. so no large addtl. expense... we all enjoyed getting somehwat dressed up. Kids loved the camps; excellent counselors. we all loved our day on Half Moon cay.... excursions in Nassau are expensive.. we would have like more suggestions to do things on our own, so as not to be locked into a group.. since we were a group of 15... inform. reg. prices for trips, carriages, Atlantis were very variable and seemed unreliable... a good way for a large family re union... and we highly recommend the ship and its crew. I also had exc. advice and help from Ian Colluzo from cruise.com.. the paperwork was a bit overwhelming when trying to put it all together.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

we find it very commercial; too many locals selling their goods along the cay; would like more info on things we could have done on our own,w ith a cab, rather then booking an exp. tour.. also not enough to do, when the weather turned cold.. more expl. as to how to take advantage of taking ferry and seeing Atlantis on our own.. confusing info re var. prices for entry fees from the locals and even the pers. on the ship...
Don't Miss: we had hoped for the swim with rays, but it was cancelled because of weather.. would have like an option

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
loved it, one of the best things on the cruise for a large fam. with small kids and we wish we could have had an addtl. day there on the way back.. great would be a day in the keys, a day in Nassau and on the return another day there, instead of the slow travelling back.
Don't Miss: on the first time there, we totally missed the quiet end of the island; good snorkeling there and we loved the nature trails.

Don't Miss: on the first time there, we totally missed the quiet end of the island; good snorkeling there and we loved the nature trails.

Pros: we loved the fact, that we could be together, but there was enough for each age group to do on their own. we were so happy with the childrens camps... they loved it. We also loved the attention lavished on the dining room table with 8 children, and 2 attentive waiters , who made these children love

Cons: cabins for 4 when folded down were a little tight... smaller children missed their tub, but we coped fine for the 4 nights.
