The New Year's cruise on the big, beautiful Sky Princess was an experience we will not forget. Princess knows how the host and delivers in a big way. So much fun!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We ate in the dining room several times and tried Alfredo's Pizza in addition to the buffet. The food and service was great. For quick bites the Salty Dog and Slice were good as well. No complaints on the food. Everything was fresh and prepared well.

Onboard Activities

We did trivia several times and although we did not participate in much else (we were into relaxing) there seemed to be plenty to do. The facilities on the Sky Princess are outstanding.

Entertainment

Wow. We are once again impressed by the entertainment. In addition to great shows in the theatre, the music in the various venues was simply top-notch. We enjoyed the Morgan trio, especially. Rock Opera was outstanding and we loved Jim Henson's Inspired Silliness. Hasley magic was great both shows and we really loved the comedian.

Service and Staff

Staff all over ship were helpful, friendly and very good at their jobs. The dining room staff was great every time we ate there and Jose, our room steward, did a wonderful job. Bar staff was amazing, working through busy times, especially.

Ship Quality

We are partial to Princess ships. We thought in this new ship everything was taken up a notch and there were many design improvements. The ship was clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Excellent. Some slight improvements from the balcony cabins we have had in the past. The placement of the television was perfect and although small as one would expect, the bathroom was arranged well. The bed was great and everything was clean and well maintained. We really like the closet layout.

Ship tip

Don't miss the shows. It's a great ship explore.

We enjoyed two nights in Fort Lauderdale. Great restaurants and plenty to do if you're up for it.

We enjoyed seeing the town and the sights on the mountain drive. We had the famous banana daiquiri at the Mountain Top. It's a very neat place everyone should visit.

Disembarkation

Again, the process was quick and efficient. With so many people getting off the ship around the same time it was amazingly easy.

Wow you have sent us into a frenzy of excitement because our cruise on the Sky is right around the corner. We have been wondering about the Take 5 club but no one ever mentions it.(heard it is suppose to be like the Crooners replacement) but your review makes us excited to get on the ship!
