Captain Tuvo is the best! He is very personable and friendly. He is on the top of my list of the 5 most friendly captains I have experienced.
I enjoyed being on the Sky Princess, despite my preference for medium to smaller sized ships. There were plenty of activities on board, yet you didn't feel like you needed to run from one activity to another. Great overall experience.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
This was the most expedient and organized embarkation that I have experienced. Using the Medallion apps totally improved the embarkation process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Main Dining Room was called Cielo and it is very nicely set up, although it appears to be bigger than on other ships.
We had a dinner at the Crown Grill and, as always, the food is well prepared. I wasn't too fond of their "Squished Potato" which comes with your meat entree.
The Buffet setup appears more organized than on other ships and there are plenty of seats available. The food selection is great and well prepared.

Cabin / Stateroom

Beautiful room, colors are soothing. The only complaint is that the Marina deck is right below the Lido deck and there is the noise of deck chairs being moved late at night and in the early morning hours. The balcony on this class of ship are known to be smaller. Loved the larger tub-shower combo. Very elegant granite desk and counter tops. Really loved the Medallion, as your room steward knows when you are in or out of your cabin. Has to be better for them, as to not unnecessarily disturb you while in your cabin.
Ship tip
This is such a large, beautiful ship, you will be doing a lot of walking. It is so nice to not have the printed picture gallery. However, the facial recognition software still has bugs to work out and you will have someone else's pictures when you go to look at your pictures. Overall, loved the shop and the crew.
Crowded port. Five ships in port when we embarked. Our hotel had a free shuttle which bused us to the port. Despite the many ships and passengers, we still had a very expedient embarkation and debarkation.
There were several ships in port. Took an excursion to ride horses on the beach. They allowed you to ride your horse into the ocean. Nice people. Typical trail ride with well-broke horses. Bring water shoes and a change of clothes.
We took the tram up to the restaurant. Great view of the pier from there. A lot of opportunities to purchase souvenirs within walking distance of the ship.
We were off the ship and through customs within 20 minutes! BEST.DEBARKATION.EVER. Used the Port Valet program, which is worth the money spent to have your checked bags collected the night before debarkation and checked into your flights back home. No trying to find your bags in the port and schlepping them through customs and checking them in at the airport.
